What I Did

Why did I buy powdered milk..let me see.. the protein content was higher  the fat was lower, it was shelf stable so I could buy 10 boxes of it and have it for multiple weeks/months. Living in  the North,[I did not always have a car-or one that was reliable- what i DID have was a husband who didn't give a sh*t..of course..] I made sure to stock up my pantry by the end of October. No matter what kind of money things happened or weather things happened, I was prepared. My kids would always have milk we would always have dairy to cook with. 🙂

Ground turkey instead of beef? Why was that? Again high protein+ lower fat=healthy kids.😊

But mom, why did you brush our teeth at night instead of letting us do it ourselves?  Everyone brushed their teeth solo in the morning, with me guiding to make sure it was a thorough job.You  needed to learn the correct way of doing it you and can't learn that unless you actually do-it-yourself. However, before you went to bed at night I made sure to floss and brush them myself as well as put on a  floride rinse to make sure that at night time you didn't have a bunch of gunk sitting on your teeth rotting them. Was it overbearing? I didn't  think so. It was done with love and kindness. Very much so!I just didn't want you to have rotten teeth like I did. 🦷

How come we didn't have much of a curfew at night?/ How did you help us merge into adulthood??I wanted you to live free while you still could before work and family responsibilities occurred. I talked about and gave true life examples[ usually during a car ride] of smart and safe choices to ensure hopefully a better future.  Whether you listen or not or even remember or not have no idea but I really did my best to try to make sure everybody understood do smart things now see have a better life in the future but still have a good time and be happy!🤗

Then how come our windows were screwed shut and there were padlocks on the fridge and doors? Super inconvenient when we were out! Your brother with DS💛💙 tried to and actually did escape. ALOT!!! It could take longer than an hour to get him to sleep every night. And I had to sleep sometime[ though I NEVER stopped getting up several times a night to check on everyone making sure they were asleep, home,and ok]. Also occasionally I needed to use the bathroom or be in another room... he was fast af to escape so we did what we had to do.
